Frequently Asked Questions

Becoming a Member Organisation

According to our Statutes, any organisation based in one of the Council of Europe member states, can become a member of Youth Express Network. Any organisation can send a membership request to Youth Express Network Coordination Office two months prior to the Board meeting at which it will be discussed. Afterwards, the General Assembly will adopt or reject the membership request based on the Board’s recommendation. If the application for membership is successful, the newly elected member shall have full speaking and voting rights from that time. If the application is not successful, the applicant organisation may appeal to the GA.

Please find below the list of documents to be sent to Y-E-N’s Coordination Office.

  • Filled-in application questionnaire – Download
  • Short letter about your motivation to become a member
  • The Statutes of your organisation, translated in English or in French

Applying organisations will be contacted and updated about the development of the membership application. Y-E-N’s Board members will revise the application during the following Board meeting and will send a notice to the following General Assembly.

All member organisations should pay an annual membership fee. The minimum amount for each member is 75% of the Gross Domestic Product per capital of the country where the organisation is established. The organisation members, who have not paid the annual membership fee before the GA, shall loose their right to vote.

All member organisations are invited to the General Assembly of Y-E-N which takes place once per year. Each organisation is invited to send one representative to the GA, who then can vote on behalf of the organisation.

Member organisations may withdraw from the Network, when that member has informed the Board of this intention three months in advance of the intended date of withdrawal.
