April: Research phase
Y-E-N conducted semi-structured interviews and focus groups in two phases.
At the first step, we interviewed 5 youth workers from our member organizations operating in different countries to analyze the differences in the struggles youth workers face in their national settings.
The second phase involved 5 youth workers from the Grand Est region, where our Association’s headquarters is located, to identify our local and regional reality. On their experiences with and best practices for promoting International Mobility among YPFOs (Young people with fewer opportunities) and ensuring inclusivity within their outreach efforts.
Those insights are currently being reflected upon in the creation efforts of the SBIM international mobility toolkit, which will include best practices.
22-25 June:Transnational Partners Meeting in Brussels
In June, a meeting organised in Brussels by Connect Brussels brought together all the partners to collaborate on the creation of a digital pathway and a promotional toolkit aimed at raising public awareness of these opportunities.
25-28 November: Training Course in Strasbourg: Empowering Youth Workers to Support Disadvantaged Young People in International Mobility
As part of this initiative, Y-E-N organised a training course in Strasbourg dedicated to empowering youth workers. The programme introduced participants to the key tools developed within the project: the International Mobility (IM) Toolkit and the IM Pathway online platform. Both resources are designed to help youth workers better support disadvantaged young people in accessing and benefiting from international mobility programmes.
Participants from Belgium, North Macedonia, and France joined the training to learn, exchange practices, and strengthen their capacity to guide young people toward meaningful international experiences.
