Study Session : “Spark and Sustain: Fostering Mental Wellbeing and Motivation in Open Youth Work”

spark and sustain study session

From 13 to 18 October 2025, Y-E-N, in partnership with the Council of Europe Youth Department and ECYC, organized a study session focused on supporting youth workers in addressing key challenges related to mental wellbeing.

The training brought together youth workers and volunteers from 12 countries, offering a space to explore topics such as mental health and motivation in youth work, peer support methods and tools, and strategies to prevent burnout. Participants engaged in interactive workshops, shared experiences, and took part in practical activities, fostering learning and collaboration.

Our Point of View volunteers played an active role throughout the session, contributing their knowledge, energy, and creativity, and sharing examples from their practical experience in youth work.

By the end of the week, participants had strengthened their skills, exchanged valuable insights, and built stronger networks for youth workers across Europe, supporting mental wellbeing in their communities and enhancing peer support practices.
