Transnational Training workshop in Cyprus
25 September – 1 October
The YouthSocialAct consortium, composed of six partners from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and France, held its Transnational Training Workshop in Cyprus as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen youth participation across Europe.
The YouthSocialAct project promotes innovative forms of social and civic engagement among young people at the local level. It supports youth-led initiatives that are co-designed, co-created, and implemented by young people, especially those with fewer opportunities. Through training, hands-on learning, and networking opportunities for youth workers and volunteers, the project empowers young people to take an active role in their communities. It also reinforces local Youth Ambassadors Programmes and ensures that results are shared widely at national and European levels.
During the workshop, two key participant profiles—Young Ambassadors and Mentors—collaborated throughout the training. Working together allowed them to strengthen their skills and deepen their understanding of how to promote meaningful youth participation. The programme encouraged inclusive, community-focused approaches to active citizenship and supported peer learning and cross-border exchange.
Through interactive activities, group work, and local engagement sessions, the training contributed to the professional development of socio-educational facilitators and emerging young leaders. It reinforced their ability to guide, inspire, and support young people in taking action for positive change within their communities.
