Our general secretary and our two volunteers attended a conference on the creation of a new Europe’s Social Contract.
MEPs Anna-Michelle ASIMAKOPOULOU (European People’s party), Brando BENIFEI (Socialists and Democrats), Heidi HAUTALA (The Greens/EFA) and Dragoș TUDORACH (Renew Europe) took part in the discussion.
Following the “2024 Voices – Citizens Speak UP! report” four main themes emerged:
– Supporting the green transition
– Making democracy work for all
– Fostering inclusive and sustainable growth
– Strengthening safety and resilience
According to the MEPs, it is important to work on citizens’ confidence in democracy, but also to achieve a better understanding of the European institutions by creating discussion groups. Finally, A.I. will be used to good effect to communicate.
