Some pictures of the #EuYouthConf which took place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from January 24th to 26th.
But what is an EuYouthConf? The EuYouthConf is the European Conference on Youth.
The aim is to create a dialogue between young people and youth organizations with policy and decision makers, as well as experts, researchers and other members of civil society.
The EU Youth Dialogue is a way of making young people’s voice heard in European policy-making processes, it is held in 18-month cycles. This conference takes place within the framework of the triple presidency France-Czech Republic-Sweden and is organized by the French Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, in partnership with the French National Youth Council (@CNAJEP) and with the support of the European Commission.
This conference officially opened the 9th cycle of the European Union’s dialogue for youth, entitled “Working together for a sustainable and inclusive Europe”.
The selected objectives for youth n°10 “A green and sustainable Europe” and n°3 “Inclusive societies” will then have to be implemented at the European level over these 18 months.
On the first day, there was the presentation of the 15 pre-selected projects on the theme of sustainable development and ecological transition. Our partner Octopus was pre-selected.
3 projects were selected by the jury on day 3 and 1 by the public. They each received 10,000 euros to help them implement their project.
In total, 170 young people took part online during these 3 days. Emilie, our Network Coordinator, was present to facilitate the second day. The participation of Y-E-N was important, because we count on the European youth and we firmly believe in them. It is from the youth that the answers to the energy transition will emerge.
The work of this conference aims to feed the general reflections of the Conference on the future of the Europe (#CoFoE).
